2009 Navigating the Legal Marketplace Conference

In June 2009, the AALA hosted a one-day conference called Navigating the Legal Marketplace. In the morning our speaker, Jeff Mangrum of SST Communications, spoke to us about leadership and the six crucial steps along a Hero's Journey. The afternoon session focused on both employers and jobseekers in the legal market. Jeff and three other actors performed scenes that examined common stresses associated with change, empathizing with that process, and offering a problem-solving strategy using a nationally recognized model of transition. Following were several round-table discussions facilitated by employment experts. A great day was had by all!
